Business Guild of Seminole Heights General Meeting

Business Guild of Seminole Heights General Meeting

The BGoSH quarterly general meeting to be held at the Seminole Heights Church at 801 E. Hillsborough Ave, Thursday, August 10, at 7 p.m. Jeff Schorr, a key contributor to the Grand Central District Association, the commercial area of Kenwood in St. Petersburg, will speak at the next general meeting to share his experience and resources in transforming a commercial district.

Cottage Living’s designation of the Kenwood neighborhood as one of the top ten cottage communities, caused a few Seminole Heights folks to see green. BGoSH is focused on commercial redevelopment in the Seminole Heights historic community, and saw Kenwood’s receipt of this national honor as an inspiration for our own efforts.

The Schorr's gallery/studio/café was recently featured in the St. Petersburg Times. Read the article here: http://www.sptimes.com/2006/08/03/Weekend/The_art_and_craft_of_.shtml. In addition to the featured speaker, Victor Rincon, BGoSH Beautification Committee chair, will be announcing the launch of a new BGoSH corridor improvement program. All business owners and artists - whether housed in brick and mortar or home based - are invited to attend, as are all residents who long for more shopping and dining opportunities in our neighborhood.
