In the St. Pete Times today

TAMPA - The advertisement for County Commission candidate Kevin White says he "has proudly been endorsed" by the Hillsborough Classroom Teachers Association.

Trouble is, the organization never endorses any candidate for Hillsborough County Commission. . . .

"White said the advertisement was a mistake of his campaign consultant, Vic DiMaio.

"It was nothing done intentionally or maliciously," he said. The same language appears on a direct mail piece to voters.

. . ."DiMaio said teachers association lobbyist Chuck Kiker okayed the ad.

"I would never in a million years use an endorsement without permission," DiMaio said. "I'm not crazy."

Clements said Kiker told her he never gave permission."

I can see this as an honest slip up. Things happen. But DiMaio is essentially not accepting responsibility for the gaffe. I have a problem with that.

this is just another clever attempt by Mr. White to fool some of the people some of the time. It is sad to see him become such a nasty man. The truth starts to come out about who he really is!!! It's all about the status and the bling with him and NOTHING MORE!!!!

He also claims to have rec'd the "endorsement" from the Greater Tampa Association of Realtors. I happen to know for a fact that this association does NOT endorse political candidates. NOT good!!

Actually Greater Tampa Association of Realtors GTAR did recommended Kevin White in the District 3 race.
I have it in my e-mail as an GTAR member update.

I guess annonymous does not know his or her facts after all.

It was actually in the same e-mail that I had the dates for the various budget hearings.

This is actually another blessing confirming that Kevin White is corrupt and attempts to hide the truth. If we were to elect him to commissioner, he would certainl accept bribes. It is in the nature of someone who engages in fraudulent activity in furtherance of an election to engage in further illegality while in office. Mr. White has shown his true colors prior to the election. Thank God. He'll never be elected as he has proven on his own that he is corrupt.

Actually, I spoke with GTAR today and they told me that they do not "endorse" anyone but that they only make certain "recommendations". I am not sure what the difference is, but they say clearly that they do not "endorse" Mr. White. I have my facts very straight!!

Have you seen Kevin White's ads? He is spending money like it is running out of his ears. He did not spend all of his campaign money on suits - he has plenty left in his private stash. It is obscene how much he is spending on ads. One newspaper had four full pages and 2 1/2 pages today (Florida Sentinel Bulletin, 09/01/06.I would endorse him too if he laid that much cash my way. Poor Chloe, pardon the pun, she doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell up against Mr. Money Bags.

Doesn't one of the newspapers do something called Ad Watch? Maybe they will comment on the inaccuracies in Kevin's ads. Surely they look at all the candidate's ads. I find it VERY INTERESTING that literature I received in the mail yesterday from Kevin White said the Hillsborough County Classroom Teacher's Assn endorsed him. Articles in The Tampa Tribune and The Times (09/01/06)confirmed with the CTA President and the CTA lobbyist that the CTA's endorsement for Kevin White was not true. Does anybody know how to retrieve those articles and put them on the blog? I think we all should read them before the election.

The text below is a direct paste from my GTAR e-mail decide for youself if that looks like endorsements. I have no intention of supporting Mr. White but I wouldn't use this to demonstrate his ethically challenged conduct.

According to the
Florida Statutes
-

"It is unlawful for any candidate or person on behalf of a candidate to represent that any person or organization supports such candidate, unless the person or organization so represented has given specific approval in writing to the candidate to make such representation."

It is not another "honest mistake," unless one is using Kevin's definition of honest. Vic DiMaio, his campaign consultant, should be well versed in election law. He would know that he needed something in writing.

I hope that one of the teachers belonging to the group files a complaint.

Oh yeah, the ad appeared in English and Spanish in La Gaceta, also. Kevin es un gran mentiroso.

The Sentinel Bulletin and La Gaceta both are extremly cheap papers. You can get a full page ad less than $500. (ROP may even be cheaper.)

What I thought was funny was the Kevin White Signs over the Morning Glory funeral home sign. They are all lit up! Pretty Smart.
