Candidates Forum

An email from Randy Baron

The Seminole Heights neighborhood associations, along with Riverside Heights, Sulphur Springs and possibly Tampa Heights, will be sponsoring a Candidates Debate on Tuesday, October 10 at 7:30 pm. Location to be determined, but the frontrunner is the church on Hillsborough and Nebraska with Hillsborough High as the backup. Currently the invitees are the district 3, 5 and 7 candidates from the county commission races. However, consideration is being given to inviting candidates from the state rep and state senate races. Input on who to invite, and what issues the neighborhood would like to hear about, would be helpful. To that end, I was hoping you could post a topic to both help publicize the event and to get neighborhood feedback on the desired attendees and possible questions for the forum. Also, special thanks should be given to Gary (Elsworth - South Seminole Heights President) for organizing this event. Thanks.

From a letter sent to Rndy and the other associations by Gary:

"The format will be the same as we have used in the past. Candidates will be asked questions by a panel, then as time permits, members of the various associations may ask individual questions. Candidates must be present, and cannot send a representative, although they may bring support staff."

"At the end of the month, I would like to meet with you or a representative of your Association to put together candidate questions that will be meaningful to our neighborhoods."

So folks, who do you want to attend and what questions to you want asked?
