US Army does advertisting on the cheap?

Driving home on Florida Avenue today, I noticed that every telephone pole from some point after downtown Tampa to Floribraska was papered with US Army flyers. Some were just the US Army logo with some text, and others were these flyers explaining the benifits in enlisting the Army, with the little tear of phone number strips.

Is this an indicator that due to the expense of the war, the Army is changing it's advertising strategies? Dumping expensive Madison Avenue campaigns for cheap grassroots advertising? Will we be seeing hand scrawled snipes signs along the roads way? Fast Cash men standing at street corners with signs? Pizza delivery style door hangers on each household's door? Craglist ads? Flyers posted on our cars at Home Depot parking lots? Posted by Picasa

Have they started telemarketing yet? Or maybe a refer 3 of your friends and get 50% off your commitment campaign.

I wonder if they are posting these flyers in South Tampa, New Tampa, or Carrollwood?

It's still a volunteer army so get over it.

I wonder if our "proactive" code enforcement department has already opened a case?

Are these posted on Nebraska? I’m thinking they could recruit a brigade of tranny hookers…the “special weapons” unit.
