It's True - Ross is coming

As a blog reader noted earlier, Ross Dress for Less is coming to the old Albertson's location.

In the Tribune today
"EAST TAMPA - Ross Dress for Less and a Ross spin-off, dd's DISCOUNTS, will move into the former Albertsons grocery store on East Hillsborough Avenue.

Remodeling began this week by Atlanta-based Collins and Arnold, and completion is expected by March, project manager Mark Thurman said.

Two shops will be created inside the building of about 53,000 square feet. City building permits were issued within the past two weeks, records show."

What we really need is a Lowes to move into the Kmart shopping center at Bird Street.

I look forward to Ross. I've been writing to Lowes for a while asking them to put a store where Home Depot used to be. Anywhere on that corner would be great.

Ross is great, but another grocery store to take some of the load off the Nebraska Publix would be better. Ugh.

i agree. i woudl love to see another grocery store open in the old KnK location (if it was clean, perhaps business would be better) or a Target. I would esp. love to see a Target there.
