Wood Floor Refinishing

Anyone have any recommendations as to who does wood floor refinishing?

Depending on how big the project, may I suggest doing it yourself? Renting the supplies isn't expensive, and will save hundreds or thousands over paying someone else to do it -- plus you get that satisfaction of knowing you did it yourself.

This comes from my experience of buying a house back when I lived in Ohio, ripping up the carpet, and refinishing the floors. Your mileage may vary :-)

if you are doing a small project then it can be done safely - the big sanders will easily dip out the floors and prevent you from being able to sand qgain if needed pluse create a floor that is not level.

I have used Joe Holley of Holley Floors for about 12 houses now and have always been satisified with his work and he is much cheaper than Bast Flooring. Look in the white pages under RL Holloey floor refinishers.

Good luck!

As you know from my previous post, we are in the process of having ours done now. I called several companies and finally decided to go with Bast. I was always told they were the best, but the most expensive. Out of all the companies I called, they came in the least expensive. So far, I am very pleased with their work. They show up every moring at 7:45 am and did an amazing job containing the mess and dust. They aren't the fastest, but their attention to detail has been very impressive.
