Anyone want to do a park clean-up before the picnic? Three or four of us could pick the banks of the river clean in a few hours.

I spend a lot of time in Epps Park and when I was there Tuesday night, the garbage on the shoreline was the worst I have seen it, fortunately it was mostly bottles and cans which can easily be removed.

Seriously is anybody interested? If so, let's get in touch through David.

this is probably something that we should set up as a regular event - cleaning up our parks even without an event. I live near Lake Roberta and make a habit of picking up the trash I see everytime I walk.

Picked up a half empty can of paint near the stormwater drain on the north end of Epps Park yesterday. Somebody had dumped it over, so now blue paint is all over the rocks and drain.

I then proceeded to pick up a 2 foot x 6 foot car seat foam padding that had washed up on shore. I placed it by the full and spilling over garbage can.

Nice, this littering is going to make me go on a Charles Bronson vigilante spree.
