CDBG grants approved

A special Thank You to the neighbors who showed up tonight for the City Council meeting. Your presence was appreciated and very effective. Council members Rose Ferlita and Kevin White were very supportive and very complementary towards
Southeast Seminole Heights. This might be the year! For the first time in CDBG
history, council agreed to award $50,000 to each of the 9 block areas. In our
block area, area 3, only one neighborhood besides SESHCA made a request so we
know that we will defiantly receive some $$$. Great Job Neighbors!!
This would seem to mean that traffic calming devices will come to Chelsea and 12th St.

Watched the meeting live on TV and have to give props to all you community activists up in Seminole Heights. You're showing the rest of us how it should be done! Congrats.
Congratuations. Now the rest of us who have screaming for years about the speed on our residential streets need to fgure it out too! You go, SESH!
