This was the original Seminole Heights blog with commentary about life in and around the urban neighborhood of Seminole Heights in Tampa, Florida. Musings about other topics as my mood permits. The blog is essentially inactive since I moved to Lutz. Go to The Official Unofficial Seminole Heights Blog - www.seminoleheightsblog.com for active content.
The 700 block of Hanlon and whatever the north/south street is called would make a great artists colony. It must have been a resort area for the river in days gone by. All these clusters of cabins or bungalows and some two story building.

Well don't just keep dreaming: GET IT GOING!!! If you build it, they will come.
Is it for sale? Last year my neighbor contacted the owner (when interested in purchasing) and he told her he would not sell for less than $1.25 million. I think there was 3 or 4 lots plus the buildings.
and that's why none of the carlots are changing hands either - inflated sense of value.
It's not inflated sense of value that keeps the car lots from changing hands.,It's money -- they make a lot of it. If they wern't they would change hands so quick your head would spin. I know some of the owners on florida and the ones who don't own the property pay high rent. Higher than any Artist/retail or rest. without alcohol could pay.
