Let's hope it's the start of a trend.

Anyone know who bought the Front Porch in March of this year? According to the property appraiser page it was purchased for 280k on the 22nd. Did the owner just incorporate himself?

the owner bought the property from the property owner. Now he is the landlord and can pay 1 hell of a tax bill.

Hmmm, does that mean he will raise his prices again. He already charges more than Berns for a simple steak and
$1.79 for a CAN of coke. I can no longer afford to go there. The food is average (I like average food) but the prices are high. How that he owns the building and has a huge mortgage, will we pay even more? BTW, I have not been there since Pat banned Randy Baron from coming in. Bad PR on Pat's part.

Every time I go there I am more and more disgusted with the food. I used to work there and now live in walking distance so I give it chance after chance but I was there a week ago and the shrimp were way over cooked and clearly old.
There was four of us getting burgers and they were all well done when ordered medium rare and came on stale buns.
Not worth the price or the wait. I feel sorry for anyone who has to work there.

I went to the Taco Bus for the first time the other night and it was excellent and cheap.

Seems like they found the right combination.

The Front Porch's perpetually broken sign doesn't exactly make the place look inviting.

The sign has been broken for what like six months now? Time for them to put the $1.79 cokes into a sign fund.

Man I must live in a bubble. Somebody tell me the story on how Randy Baron got banned from the Front Porch. As far as the high prices get used to it. Since gas has gone up every thing has gone up. I see it in my business every day
- real estate Tax, insurance UPS, freight, raw materials, metals - gold is 680 oz. Every thing is going UP!

Amen to that sister.
Why do all the rest close at 8. I wanted to try taco bus Then went to Blue Sea both were closed @ 8. Ended up going chinee @ Nebraska & Comanche don't know the name of the rest.. but food was OK. Looked a little dirty but I didn't get sick but then again I have eaten in some nasty rest in south america so what do I know.

I have always had good service and good food at the Front Porch. Am I the only one? Guess I'm luck:)

I've lived within walking distance from The Front Porch for about 3 years now. I still enjoy going to it knowing it's fallbacks. I never go if I am in a hurry and I know that it is a little expsensive. But if I am not in the mood to fight traffic and put my name on some waiting list to eat, The Front Porch is one of my favorite places. Sometimes I just want to hang out on the porch, drink some beer, and have some food... and know I can walk home. Guess I haven't had an unpleasant experience yet. Slow maybe, but not unpleasant.

helps if you smoke a little first. That way when you getyour food it taste better & your don't care about the crappy service

I have said it before, and will say it again: Front Porch has lost my business due to all the b.s. described above. What a shame that they cannot seem to be consistent in their food or service, but feel the need to now overcharge. Someone please describe a basic business model to the current owner so I can have a good neighborhood place again - neat old house, nice porch, casual but not dirty - but with decent moderately priced food. Sorry if I'm beating a dead horse - but the whole thing aggravates me. obviously. :)

It appears no of you had the pleasure of FP's raw chicken breast after a forever wait.

The prices suck. Who the hell pays those prices for food that is sub-par even when compared to 3 Coins or Nicko's. Pat is tone deaf to feedback. He stays afloat because it is a nearby place to drink.

We stopped going. We would go to Nicko's for dinner before considering FP. And diner's are great for breakfast not for dinner.
