Tampa sees green
St. Pete Times did an article about the City of Tampa embracing Green buildings and WMNF had a prominent role in the story.
Something I always found odd was that the Hillsbrough County Extension Service really pushes rain barrels as a way to save water, yet I do not see any county or city or other government buildings with water barrels or cisterns. The exception is the artistic cistern (Hydria) at the County Courthouse.

I was just looking at rain barrel plans last night. That's a great link for the workshop and freebies. Too bad it's in Seffner, pretty much guarantees I won't go. I wonder if there's any other way to get free materials or a free prebuilt barrel?
I know that one of my neighbors works for this organization. I remember her talking about having free rain barrels and free low-flow shower heads. I will find out more.
