Graffiti
We have had a rash of graffiti in the hood. A few months ago we had a piece of gang graffitti on the side of Mega Mart.
Yesterday Susan and I spotted what I call some artistic graffiti. on the side of the reddish/orange building at Nebraska between Ida and Martin Luther King Someone new must have moved into the hood.
This looks like we have two separate taggers for these pieces. DNAC OTOE?? and YELLO. They signed the building across the alley.
The graffiti is not limited to those buildings. On North Bay just off Nebraska is some different graffiti on a utility box.
and on The Hillsborough Sheet Metal wall.
There is more graffiti from DNAC and YELLO on the roofless building at Osborne and Nebraska, other graffitti on two bus stops north of Hillsborough.
It's not clear whether some of this is a gang related or is simply personal expression.
Graffiti should be reported to the police so they can determine if it is gang related or simple vandalism. The City has a Graffiti removal program that can reached online, wherein they try to remove the graffiti in 24-48 hours.

I don't know who did it. but that is NOT gang graffiti
As a student who is studying graffiti for a paper I can assure you those examples are not gang graffiti. They are graffiti writers (not artists because there's a difference in what's displayed), and what you have pictures of are tags and throw ups. The scibbly looking things are called tags and are basically the writer's signatures, and the bubbly letters are called throw ups.
From where you said they were and how many, it looks like these couple (or maybe it was a crew which is not a gang but just a group of writer's who go together), it sounds to me as if you've discovered the aftermath of a "bombing" which is where a person or crew go out together and "bomb", that is mark, as many places and times as they can before leaving an area without getting caught.
Lol. this is a joke.
Horribly broad generalization that anyone who writes is affiliated with a violent gang.
