The Emperor (or Empress) of Seminole Heights

Several communites in the area has honorary ceremonial leaders. The two most famous is the Alcalde (that's spanish for mayor) of Ybor City and the Guv'na of Lutz.

(Not to forget, as frequently mentioned by Tom Henderson of the WMNF Radio Show "This is Bluegrass" the attendees at his weekly bluegrass breakfast is a whole host of Mayors from east Hillsborough such as the Mayor of Mango and Mayor of Seffner and etc .)

The Alcalde does something with the Gasparilla thing. I forget. Is it to throw the first loaf of Cuban Bread at the Navy ship?

The Guv'na of Lutz presides over ceremonial events. Hands out awards at the Lutz Arts and Crafts festival and etc. The way to become the Guv'na is to buy your way in by raising the most money. The money is then donated to charities by the Lutz Civic Association.

I suggest Seminole Heights get its own ceremonial leaders. The three civic associations and the Business Alliance could be the sponosring organizations The money raised could be spent on promoting greater Seminole Heights, imporving some of our parks and be given to local charities such as Francis House. The ceremonila leader could participate at grand openings and other events.

I first tried to think of a ceremonial title actually historical to Seminole Heights. ..........okay I'm still thinking. Hmmm. Well perhaps maybe the General of Seminole Heights. (Only because my subdivision was developed by a Civil War General )

So other names I have come up with are the The Grand Poobah, The Big Cheese, and The Chief Muckity Muck.

Any ideas?
