I don't know the specific history of that building, but it appears to be one of the old service stations. Several of those are seen in the old Burgert Brothers photos of the area. Looking at the fire insurance maps of the 20's and 30's Seminole Heights had quite a bit of auto service related businesses.

It is not a new building. Is it "contributing."Who cares? Anything from the old era is worth preserving. He took an eyesore and made it fabulous! I hope others take note.
