Local musician and 20 year SH resident Jeff Wood has lost his fight with brain cancer. His prolific music career spanned local and international bands (though not an exhaustive list) The Moon Calves, Fugitive Kind, Forgotten Apostles, Monday Mornings, Smashmouth, Joe Popp, Barely Pink, Spiller, Nutrajet and many, many more.

Jeff will be sorely missed. I used to watch him play in Spiller, Barely Pink and Joe Popp.
i've been driving around in the mountains for the last couple days crying about jeff and listening to warren zevon's maudlin masterpiece "life will kill ya." a necessary exercise since i'm not in tampa where i can actually celebrate/mourn his death with others who loved him. this sucks. baker, is this you?
