Starbucks Update 2-18-06


They have glass doors and windows now.

I drove by the Starbucks today(Monday) just before noon and noticed one of the windows had been smashed. I hate to think the worst, and hope it was just a construction incident, but given the previous vandalism one never can tell.

In my former city, Portland, Maine, there was a huge rebellion against the Starbucks going in downtown; Portland had many independant coffee shops locally owned. they had their window smashed almost as quickly as they replaced them. The window breakers have graduated from college and left, but Starbucks is still there.....I think they have a "rebellion driven window smashing" allocation in their budget
