Noted Seminole Heights Resident Vic Hall dies
Vic Hall, Seminole Heights resident and host of USF Radio (897.) "Sound of Jazz," died Monday at age 81. The Tribune has an article about him.
WUSF 89.7's Bob Seymour talked about Vic on the radio yesterday. http://www.publicbroadcasting.net/wusf/news.newsmain?action=article&ARTICLE_ID=1000355
I am greatly saddened by the news of Vic Hall's death. We will seldom, if ever again, benefit from the contribution of such a passionate and knowledgeable jazz man. Jazzmen are not only those who play, but those who, like Vic, bring the music to the people so they can be exposed to, and learn about this fantastic music. As a lifelong musician I wish to acknowledge Vic for his monumental contribution, his passion for and commitment to this great music.
