An email sent to me:
“I will get my flavor of the Times as I read my TBT every day (delivered to my building!)"
Her words: ”You’re kidding me, right?!?There’s no comparison between the two. you’re sorely missing out if TBT* is how you’re getting the flavor of the Times.
My weak response "There is a difference between flavor and a full satisfying meal"
blurbex, aka the weekneed planet's lame excuse for a blog, had a post yesterday - since mysteriously removed - that named s. tampa news ed mitzi gordon as the soon-to-be-named editor of the trib's expected tbt rival. she's youngish and has goth-black hair, so i guess shes seen by the trib as hip.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of Blurbex, any thoughts on the 100 must-do list. How about a similar list for Seminole Heights, maybe not 100, but perhaps 20 or so. I know you had something similar to the Urban Explorer in a post, and some items will certainy fall under "You have to eat at..." but this could be slightly different, and focus on more than just places. Sugestions might be attend a porch party, or an Association meeting, going on the home tour, driving by the Monkey Fist tree, attend a Friday concert at Lowry Park. Just a suggestion.
ReplyDeleteSeems kinda' cold.

"Take a stroll along the River in either Epps Park or Rivercrest Park."
ReplyDeleteIf you do, please pick up some of the trash accumulating along the shore in Epps Park. I can't believe that much crap washes ashore.
