Florida Avenue: Another Line of Site Accident.

From and email............

Another traffic accident happened this afternoon at about 4:00PM on FloridaAve at W. Chelsea in South Seminole Heights. Again, like others, line ofsight at West Chelsea is a contributing factor. It is unknown if speed wasalso a factor. The responding officer was still writing up the report. Thesecond vehicle that hit the car at West Chelsea stopped when hitting a fencea block away (about 200 feet). To the best of my knowledge, no one wasinjured, so we as a neighborhood dodged the bullet again. The driver of thevehicle pulling out from Chelsea is familiar with the area. She lives ahalf block away from the scene of the mishap. Even with her knowledge ofhow dangerous the intersection is, she wasn't able to avoid an accident.

  1. Here is a question for the City of Tampa.

Since I have lived in Tampa, I can only remember one fatality on Bayshore. You probably all remember it. Speeding motorcycle hits pedesrian and kills them. Within a week the city had a task force in place and within months changes were made.

In the last year, how many accidents have occured, unfortuantely we had a death and all they do is send out Curtis Lane and the Keystone Cop Gang--what gives?

  2. I'll tell you what give, South Tampa residents give. They give thousands of dollars each election to the corrupt politians. Pam is from S. Tampa so she caters to the needs of those donors.

  3. and if you look at the Vote Seminole Heights stats that were posted you will see that the highest voting area is South Tampa....so the politicians know where their bread is buttered and where they need to focus their attention. If we don't vote we don't have the power so we need to get off our butts and vote in the city council election on March 6 - Gwyn OUT - Randy IN!
