This was the original Seminole Heights blog with commentary about life in and around the urban neighborhood of Seminole Heights in Tampa, Florida. Musings about other topics as my mood permits. The blog is essentially inactive since I moved to Lutz. Go to The Official Unofficial Seminole Heights Blog - www.seminoleheightsblog.com for active content.
because if you drive down Fla ave and look to your right as you pass MLK you will see behind the fence they put up at least 20 semi-trailers that are being used to store fireworks........so let's think about it - a commercial location in a residential neighborhood that has TONS of explosives situated not far from a public housing complex that has one of the higherst crime rates for housing complexes in the city and you wonder why there is an issue?
Thanks for the update Anon 12:30p. While I understand the concern for explosives near a residentail area, are you suggesting the the residents of the housing complex will somehow take those fireworks and do something criminal with them?
from an insurance standpoint the trailers filled with explosives would be considered an attractive nuscience - much like the swimming pool in your back yard - you may not invite the neighbor's kid in but if it is there then at some point you will be getting unwanted visitors that are attracted by the mere presence of the pool.....same goes for 20 semi trailers of fireworks - it's only a matter of time before it happens.
On that smae note - It would only take one car wreck with a flaming vehicle lodged in the trailer for the whole place to be one big fireball - that should be fun!!
Let's blow up the ghetto!
ReplyDeletePlease explain to me why everyone is down on this place.
