Mower Theft

An email:
"My friend here here in the heights .....is missing her mower.....someone went into her back yard into her shed and stole her brand new mower from sears. " .....I AM pretty upset because Roberta is a dear lady and she is older and it just fries me that someone would do this to her.....brand new mower and she never got to use it.. She isn't strong enough to start it......I do her yard for her for nothing......I care about her . She has a fenced in yard.........and her shed is way back there in yard so they had to have known about the mower or just were checking the area for things to steal I do not know . Any chance you could start a thread about the theft and maybe just maybe someone will come forward?"

  1. If he's found his nuts should be thrown in a vice grip! Stealing from an old lady, what an asshole!

  2. Yesterday, I saw the nieghborhood "yard man" pushing a mower going door to door. I am not accusing him, Mr Timmons, but I know he is famous for taking yard tools to try to make a fast buck.

  3. I was at Al Lopez Park on saturday and in the middle of the day, in clear view of families, birthday parties, et cetera, my car was broken into (through the sunroof!) and my (hidden in the console) iPod stolen. Just seems like crime is prevalent everywhere. *shrug*

  4. Watch for the urchins. Don't let them know if you store gasoline or other tools in your shed. I've had gasoline stolen, and tools as well. Now my gates are locked, and I have a dog. Enough was enough.

  5. I've been through 1 bike, 1 mower, and 2 weedeaters in about 10 yrs. Profile people in your alleys and on the street - you know who belongs here and who doesn't. Make them feel unwelcome.

  6. I have seen a scraggly looking guy around the area of 13th and New Orleans/Louisiana pushing different mowers.
I am not sure if he does lawns or is stealing them.
