Ghost Dog

No, not the Jim Jarmush film

Ella is the stealthiest dog I have ever known. Even wearing her collar with two dog tags on it, she can walk through house without making a sound. In addition her coloration makes it easy for her to blend in wth the background in the yard or the floor in the house. This morning she was in the bedroom. I called Siggy to come out to thek itchen. In the kitchen he stops and I again call and motion him to go out the back door. I turn and open the door, look down and see Ella standing next to me. The timing was just right, as if Siggy turned into Ella as he came over. She is like a ghost dog.

Other Ella:

Ella and Siggy sleeping. She likes having him next to her.

We bough this toy somewhat indestructable toy for Ella, called Chewman. She obliged by chewing it to pieces.

The funeral for Chewman will be held tommorrow.

  1. Nothing beats a marrow bown. And when the marrow gone,,,,,,,,,,,,peanut butter in the hole is good

But if you like giving them fuzzy toys, go to dollar store or good will.....they don't last any longer but they are a hell of a lot cheaper!

  4. Ella has the marrow bone, the tire toy, a couple Kongs, a few long tug toys, the hard rope chews and assorted balls. We rotate them to keep her from getting bored. The marrow bone seems to be the favorite. She chews on all of them, and does fantastic head tosses which makes them sail through the air, over furntiure, people, and other critters. It's kind of exciting eating a meal when she's playing. You sort of have to cover your plate, so nothing lands in it.

  5. Since you all here love your dogs so much. I'm pretty sure you do know all the ordinences for them as well?

I have new neighbors who own a cute little dog who is the size of a banana bread loaf.
They put him in his yard to do what all dogs do you know and leave the poor thing out there and he cries and cries and cries!

What does the law state about that or what can I say to them so Im not hurting their feelings or making them feel they need to be on the defensive , I can hear their dog in my back bedroom from where I am and it breaks my heart to hear that poor little dog whine so.
