This was the original Seminole Heights blog with commentary about life in and around the urban neighborhood of Seminole Heights in Tampa, Florida. Musings about other topics as my mood permits. The blog is essentially inactive since I moved to Lutz. Go to The Official Unofficial Seminole Heights Blog - www.seminoleheightsblog.com for active content.

Let the scare tatics and accusations begin. You know we will hear that he is leaving because code and neighbors, etc. Bottom line is if he would have cared one ounce, he would have never had an issue. How hard it is to keep your place clean. Let them move on. The "gentlemens club" I bet is a scare tactic rumor that has been created to scare the neighbors into "wishing he would stay" bottom line is it can never happen legally. There is a church directly across the street so city of Tampa Zoning would never allow this to happen (That is if zoning is more intelligent than code enforcement!)
He's not going anywhere. If he sells, he will make so much money from increased property values that he will never have to work again thanks to all of our hard work. Maybe they will tear it down and build a Cappy's Jr.
Good point on the zoning. I remember when the Vallero gas wanted to sell beer. Zoning would not allow it as it was across from the church. They tried to petition, at that point it was brought to the civic associations.
if the property does go the "gentlemans club" route then just take a page from the "5606 sex club" playbook. Nightly pickets and a little news coverage will make it go away.
As one leaves another comes in... I just got a flier for D' Italia. I think I had read on here before that their food is really good. Has anyone tried them... They deliver!
Selling it is one way to avoid complying with code!
ReplyDeleteHow sad is it that this "adult" person thinks it wiser to sell rather than to clean. How totally childish!!!
