According to the Trib, Joe Redner's daughter Reyline Charelle Redner (36) and exwife Bonnie Worbington, (49) were arrested for prostitution at New Orleans and Nebraska at 1:30 aM.
"Reyline Redner, who is HIV-positive, was also charged with criminal transmission of HIV, a third-degree felony. " She "was released from state prison in February for convictions for criminal transmission of HIV, aggravated assault and cocaine possession. "
Redner's response was honest:
"Redner said this morning he was struggling with the arrest. “I’m not doing too good,” he said. “My daughter is in trouble.” "
"Redner said his daughter has a long history of drug and alcohol problems, and has been in treatment programs at leave five times. The problems started when she was in her 20s, Redner said.
“It just won’t work,” Redner said. “She’s been in jail four or five times. Of course, there’s no treatment there. I believe she has some kind of mental problem. I don’t understand it.”
Redner said his daughter takes medication but said she isn’t diligent about taking it.
Redner said he has been protecting his daughter’s three children from her for years.
He said he has bonded her out of jail in the past but he has stopped doing so the last few times, and he refuses to do so today.
“She refuses to do the right thing,” Redner said. “I don’t think I can subject the public to her. I don’t approve of anything she does.”
Redner confirmed his daughter is HIV positive and has been for years. She has not developed AIDS, Redner said.
“I don’t want it to sound like I’m protecting her or against her,” Redner said. “It’s just a sad, sad state of affairs.” "
Both apparently have been Seminole Heights residents: According to the HCSO website, Worbington was also arrested for possession in 2005 while living at 6110 N. Nebraska. When Reyline was arrested in 2002 she was living at 104 W. Hillsborough.
This is our next city councilman? I don't think so!
ReplyDeleteBecause his daughter and ex wife are screw ups? What does that have to do with his ability to run for office? ““It just won’t work,” Redner said. “She’s been in jail four or five times. Of course, there’s no treatment there.” I think his knowledge and struggle with this would help him in working for the betterment of the community. Besides what’s one city councilman with troubled family members going to hurt when we already have a coke head president?

bugalowlady, youre judging his ability to be a councilman based on this? WOW! You sound like a really intelligent person.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how bunglowlady judges Jeb Bush since his daughter was put into a treatment facility after having serious issues with substance abuse!!!
ReplyDeleteredner shows a lot of intelligence in his response to this mess, which im sure makes him tear his hair out. though i notice he didnt address his ex-wife's problems. this wont matter to his campaign because he will always be unelectable in tampa for a wide variety of reasons, none of which make much sense.
ReplyDeleteanyway, everybody has skeletons in his/her closet, even bungalow lady, im sure!
Thank god she isn't walking the streets in my neighborhood anymore.
ReplyDeleteThe police stepped up to the plate on this one.
No ne cares about anyone's skeletons until they advertise them on Nebraska Ave for god (scientology) sakes.
Everyone has made mistakes but the difference is that we don't continue to make the same ones over and over again.
Do you think she was going to tell her client that she was HIV positive?
Hell no.
Think about the real victim here.
The mom who could have gotten HIV because her husband was cheating on her.
This makes me furious.
At least they caught her before she could spread it to unsuspecting people who may not want it.
That's so wrong.
George W. Bush: a DUI plus arrests for vandalism and disorderly conduct. Columba Bush (Jeb's wife) falsified customs claims and was fined over $4000. Noelle Bush: drug convictions. Jebby Bush (Jeb's son) sexual misconduct, public intoxication and resisting arrest. Then their was Neil Bush and those Thai hookers, but I don't know if that was technically illegal or not.
ReplyDeleteanon 8:08 please clarify your statement........
ReplyDelete"At least they caught her before she could spread it to unsuspecting people who may not want it" WTF!!!
I do not know of anyone that wants "IT". HIV - AIDS is a very unforgiving disease that ends in death. Ignorant, thoughless statements reinforce the head in the sand - I'm not in that demographic so I don't have to worry attitude that allows this horrible disease to continue to spread despite the information/stats out there. Do you think anyone of the orphans in Africa wanted their parents to get "IT"??? Do you think any of the minority women of our community - who were the fastest growing affected individuals at one point - want "IT"???
Don't pretend "IT" is not something that will not affect you - you may be lucky enough that it is not directly in your life but "IT" negatively affects your community - spend some time at Francis house and think before you BLOG.
F you.
ReplyDeleteDon't throw stones when you live in a glass house.
She was out on my street selling her diseased tail.
"It" doesn't affect me because I don't put myself in situations where it could.
Pick your partners wisely.
If you hadn't read the rolling stones magazine lately Mr. Information, some people do want "it".
They called it the "gift".
Why don't you research before you act like you are holier than thou.
Spend some time at church.
You might learn something.
....your partners don't have to be selling themselves on Nebraska to have "it" - you might be quite suprised at who may be infected and not have the run down, doing drugs, streetwalker look.
ReplyDeleteSee you at church - I already had a pew waiting for you.
The street you live on that she was "selling" from runs right by my house and I have dealt with the "selling" issue for over 10 years in the neighborhood - I did not say she had a right to be there - I can see you in YOUR glass house now - thanks for your assumptions about me.
I've never understood this obsession with Joe Redner, either negative or positive. I wasn't in favor of the city trying to shut him down and I'm certainly not in favor of him as a representative of Tampa.
ReplyDeleteI'm not so naive to think that we can do without businesses like his but there's no denying the connection between many of the prostitutes on Nebraska and the strip clubs that line Dale Maybry. They get their start there and after they're used up, they're kicked out without any other skills. Even his ex-wife ends up on the streets. It's not illegal but if that is your chosen profession then don't be surprised if you aren't taken seriously...and you aren't elected.
I've met Joe and talked with him. I've seen his pa show. Heck, I even chastized Bob Buckhorn for going after him. However, he strikes me as someone out for the publicity, thirsting for the lime light, possibly wanting legitimacy in the public eye. He doesn't offer Tampa anything that it can't get from others without the baggage.
They say information is power, but here's an example where conflicting information leads to quite a different conclusion.
ReplyDeleteWhen was Worbington born, and is she Reyline's mother. Arrest records indicate she was born in either 1950 or 1957. St Pete Times indicates that she is Reyline Redner's mother. Arrest records indicate Reyline was born in 1969. Wikipedia puts Joe Redners dob around 1940, with limited searching I was unable to find anything more reliable so we shall use that for arguments sake.
If Worbington is in fact Reyline's mother she was either 13 or 19 when Reyline was born. Joe was around 29. Now a 19 yo having Joe's baby isn't a big deal, but a 13 yo is quite the different story.
I know this has been explored a little by readers of TBO, but I am merely pointing out that given the "reliability" of the news that you gotta take everything you read with a grain of salt. All that being said, if Joe did father the child of a 13 year old, it certainly should be a factor when considering him as our representative. Anyone have any more reliable info regarding these issues?
Bonnie 03/23/1951 per Clerk of Court
ReplyDeleteJoe 07/02/1940
Reyline 11/24/1964
However, is she the mother?
Hey SuperSlueth,
ReplyDeleteBefore you launch a conspiracy theory, consider that one or both of the women may have lied about their date of birth to police. One great avenue of research may be to CONTACT Mr. Redner HIMSELF and ASK him about it. Redner Enterprises is in the PHONEBOOK!
In the same comment where "one or both of the women may have lied" you suggest asking Mr Redner. He would have no reason to say anything other than the truth. right? I think someone mentioned RELIABLE information as in legal records.
