I would have crossed the street to Starbucks and stuck them up for cappucino.
ReplyDeleteWe're all being robbed at the gas station every time we fill up.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if these immigrants were "legal or illegal"?
ReplyDeletewow! stereotype, much? why ya gotta assume they're immigrants? lots of people have spanish accents and aren't immigrants.
ReplyDeleteGiven the recently reported statistic that first generation immigrants are 45 percent less likely to commit crimes as third generation immigrants it would seem that they've probably been here awhile and are legal. It takes a few generations to become truly Americanized.
ReplyDeleteThat leap to conclusion is just as unfounded as the one to conclude that they were immigrants. There are just as many statistics to support immigration(particularly illegal immigration) in certain areas lead to higher crime for a variety of reasons. http://www.thetrumpet.com/index.php?page=article&id=1772
ReplyDeleteWhile there is not necessarily a link between a person immigrating either legally or illegally and future criminal activity, people seem to keep forgetting that "illegal" immigrants are, by the very definition, criminals. They broke the law to get here regardless of their motives. They have already rationalized their criminal behavior at some level. Then again, so have people who run red lights, speed excessively, prostitute or use illegal substances. Just something to think about.
