County Commission Race: Rose versus the other guy

There is a good article in the St. Pete Times City Times about the County Commission race between Rose Ferlita and Brad Swanson, highlighting the differences between them. Both are Christians, but Swanson wears his on his sleeves and Rose separates them from her job. Swanson would seem to be a lackey of the undemocratic, Boss Tweed forces in the County, namely Sam Rashid and Ralph Hughes. Rose rejects their influence. Rose is a dog lover. Who knows about Swanson. When the link is up I will add it.

Here is the link.

  1. Why you kissing Rose's ass all the time Dave? Copious Brownnosing aint gonna get you nowhere. You do realize she's of a different persuasion, right?

  2. I'm still laughing - and I can't add anymore to the comments of the shreks wife than what has already been said - I don't live in Rose's district but am well aware of her positive interaction as a CITY COUNCIL representative for the neigborhood more than our rep who lives way up north in a "New" part of town - he has to be tricked into coming into the neighborhood - I don't think he really knows where we are at the bottom of his district.

Rose is a proven positive-impact "evil" vs the unknown power broker pawn.

  3. i might very well be mistaken but rumor has it that ferlita's drug store doesn't carry oral contraceptives ...this would be one obvious strike against in the eyes of the "younger demographic"

  4. Background on Rose. She was a former President of the Southeeast
Seminole Heightsa Civic Association. If I need to talk to her about something I just walk two blocks to her store. She is very accesible. She knows what Seminole Heights needs and what other Tampa Urban neighborhoods
    needs.

The other guy? He is a pawn of the culture of corrupt corporate
conservatives who care to cram their version of christianity on the community. (sorry ran a little wild with the c's).
