Burglar Caught

Was your house burgled recently? Maybe it was this guy that TPD caught, thanks to an alert neighbor.

Alert Neighbor Identifies Burglar

Tampa, FL February 6, 2006 -


DATE/TIME: 02/05/06, 9:57 a.m.

LOCATION: 1010 E. Chelsea Street, Tampa

VICTIM: W/M, Mennie Graham, 05/03/70

DEFENDANT: B/M, Cedric Bernard Huey, 10/15/63, 2633 Jefferson Avenue, Tampa

DETAILS: Cedric Huey broke into a residence under renovation at 1010 E. Chelsea Street. He broke a rear window and entered the house. Once Huey was inside, the alarm activated. A neighbor hard a noise coming from the rear of her neighbor’s house and saw someone climbing into the rear window. She called police and gave a description of the suspect. Huey fled the scene but was taken into custody a half mile from the crime scene about twenty minutes from the time the eyewitness saw him. Huey was identified as the burglar by his clothing and boot prints that he left at the scene. He was transported to the Hillsborough County Jail and charged with Burglary of a Structure. He has been arrested numerous times for burglary and is currently on probation.
