Seminole Heights Bakery and Cafe Review or Need a 1000 loaves?

Scott,

The Seminole Heights Bakery and Café has opened and I got a chance to drop in for lunch this week. They’re located 1 block north of Martha’s. They make simple sandwiches, including cubans. They also have a full range of bakery items, cakes, pastries, etc, very reasonably priced. They also have empenadas and crab cakes. You can pick up all kinds of breads here as this is a full bakery (they make over a 1000 loaves a day). For breakfast, they serve bacon, eggs, gravy type stuff, very cheap. Open 6 am to 3 pm each day.

Can you specify the location for those of us who do not know where Martha's is.

West side of Nebraska south of Hillsborough. I believe it is about 2 1/2 or 3 block south of Hillsborough.

Just had breakfast there. The egg and cheese sandwich was good, but salty ... I think I moved my heart attack up by 2 years. Why did I keep eating? Carpe Diem, I guess. Or perhaps I'm just a pig. I'll be back there again for lunch one day.

I have had their breakfast sandwich and their cuban sandwich. Both were very good. The place is clean and bright and a good place to get a cup of coffee and read the paper. I'm really pleased to have the bakery in the nieghborhood. Next, I try the devil crab

Ate there this weekend. VERY good food. The "cuban hamburger" was good enough to draw us back again. Their bakery goods look wonderful. The peanutbutter cookie we got satisfied my partner, who is a peanutbutter fanatic. High marks.

Parking is an issue. You have to back out onto Nebraska so pick your times or space carefully to avoid the hassle. Perhaps you can park next to Greenshift and walk around the corner.

Just found out, Bakery owner is new to the area, but not to the Business, he has been in Business for over 10 years, with the wholesale bakery located on Lois Ave. Recently bought Seminole heights to accomate growth. This place is CLEAN, GOOD and everythig is fresh, made daily.

I went this morning. The cuban toast was ok and the Con Leche was excellent. In total it was $3.21 or something like that. Very cheap. Excellent Service, very clean. As for the parking, I had plenty of room to back out of the spot and turn the car without entering Nebraska. (Would be different if you were traveling north after you leave) I would go back. They are looking to expand business hours depending on traffic.
